Common questions

How does the AI generation work? +
Pick a tool, type a topic or paste a text (or a YouTube link), choose the CEFR level and number of items, and hit Generate. In a few seconds you get a ready exercise — reading comprehension, gap-fill, vocabulary task, quiz or a full worksheet — that you can edit, print, play as a game or drop on a board.
Do I need my own API key? Does AI cost extra? +
No. AI is built in — no keys, no setup. The Free plan includes a generous daily allowance (around 20 generations a day), and Pro removes the limit entirely. If AI is ever unavailable, tools fall back to offline templates so you're never blocked.
Can I edit what the AI produces? +
Always. Every generated item is fully editable before you export it — fix a question, swap a word, toggle the answer key, or regenerate just the part you don't like. You stay in control; the AI just removes the blank-page problem.
Do I need to download anything? +
No. TeachEd is a Progressive Web App — you open it in your browser and optionally add it to your home screen for a native-app feel. No App Store, no installation waiting, no updates to manage manually.
Does it really work offline? +
Yes. Once TeachEd has loaded once, all pages, boards, grades and games are cached by the Service Worker and available with no internet connection. Great for teaching in areas with spotty Wi-Fi.
What languages does TeachEd support? +
The platform UI is in English. The ready-made lesson packs are designed for teaching English to Slavic-language learners (Ukrainian, Russian, Polish), with bilingual vocabulary cards. Custom boards can cover any language.
Can my students use TeachEd too? +
Yes. Students get a read-only portal where they see their homework, progress and board content shared by you. Live board sessions let students follow along on their own device in real time (Pro plan).
Can I import my existing materials? +
You can copy-paste content from any source into board cards and notes. We're working on direct import from Google Docs and PDF. In the meantime, our ready-made packs cover most common lesson types immediately.
Is my data safe? +
Your data is stored securely on our servers with encrypted connections. Free plan data is local-first (browser storage). Pro plan syncs encrypted to the cloud. We never sell or share your data.
